The Acting Head of Mission/FC, Major General Benjamin Sawyerr, and a section of Mission Leadership Team members on 20 July, held a meeting with the Ngok Dinka Paramount Chief and other Chiefs at the Paramount Chief’s residence in Abyei. The meeting discussed various issues including the general security situation in the Abyei box. On the recommendation of the chiefs, the participants resolved to hold regular meetings with the mission leadership as well as contingent commanders.
