The Department of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs (DPPA) provides substantive expertise and secretariat support to United Nations Member-State bodies. The Department supports the work of the Security Council, including its formal and informal processes, and provides staff support to two standing committees of the General Assembly focused on the rights of the Palestinian people and on decolonization.
